Abstract | Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a type of malignant tumor that poses a serious risk to people's health.According to the current study, abnormal expression of circular RNA (circ RNA) is closely related to the occurrence and development of CRC. However, its specific molecular regulation mechanism remains unclear. Our research found that the expression of hsa_ circ_0009022 (circ_009022) is negatively correlated with the invasion and metastasis of CRC. Functionally, interference with circ_0009022 can promote the proliferation and migration of CRC cells, while overexpression of circ_0009022 inhibits the proliferation and migration of CRC cells. Mechanically, circ_0009022 can up-regulate the transcription factor TFAP2A and down-regulate the expression of Vimentin by binding with miR-576–5p and FMRP respectively, thereby inhibiting the EMT process and inhibiting the migration and metastasis of CRC. This subject intends to further explore specific mechanism of circ_0009022 on inhibition of CRC through a variety of experiments in vitro and in vivo. This study is expected to provide a new therapeutic target for CRC on clinical translational medicine.
