Summary:In this study, the effects of the application of a metallization coating on the inner surface of pipes from steel 09G2S with the subsequent melting of the coating on the strength characteristics of the metal of the pipe wall were carried out. Measurements of the thermal flashing cycle were carried out, as well as basic mechanical characteristics, such as tensile strength, yield strength, impact strength, elongation and hardness. The microstructure of the pipe metal and coating was also investigated before and after reflow. The results were compared with regulatory requirements for pipe metals.
