Summary:An extended hydrodynamic model describing the surface dielectric discharge in air is formulated in the paper. Preliminary numerical calculations have been performed demonstrating the formation of a streamer discharge structure in the case of application of a positive potential to the working electrode. The dynamics of the electron density and the electric potential for the streamer discharge are presented.
