Dielectric spectra of doped and X-ray irradiated calcium fluoride crystals

Calcium fluoride crystals doped with PbF2 and codoped with LiF, NaF have been grown using the vertical Bridgman method. The frequency (1‐100 kHz) dependence of the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant, ε1 and ε2, have been studied in the temperature range 160‐300 K; the activa...

Summary:Calcium fluoride crystals doped with PbF2 and codoped with LiF, NaF have been grown using the vertical Bridgman method. The frequency (1‐100 kHz) dependence of the real and imaginary parts of the complex dielectric constant, ε1 and ε2, have been studied in the temperature range 160‐300 K; the activation parameters of the relaxation process have been determined for various doped and X‐irradiated calcium fluoride crystals. The optical absorption spectra of the crystals are also investigated. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
