Summary:The interaction of testosterone and BSA has been followed by CD spectroscopy. Testosterone had no significant effect on the BSA CD spectrum at a variety of testosterone-BSA ratios in the region of 300 nm to 200 nm. This lack of change in the CD spectrum under conditions generating a difference U.V. spectrum indicated that testosterone has little overall effect on the secondary-tertiary structure of BSA.
