Summary:In the summer of 1960, several larvae of Trichoplusia ni (Hübner), apparently killed by a fungus parasite, were collected on the Purdue University Agronomy Farm. Spicaria rileyi (Farlow) Charles was isolated from these specimens and Aspergillus flavus Link was isolated from eggs of laboratory reared T. ni. Both fungi were highly pathogenic to T. ni larvae.
