Summary:Lipoprotein levels in sera from 7 children with different types of cancer were measured and compared with those of 3 normal children. The patients had low values for the high-density lipoproteins and high values for the very low-density lipoproteins. The child with Hodgkin's disease had a singular increase in the low-density lipoprotein fraction. The child with lymphangiomatosis had unusually low values for the very low-density lipoproteins. In both of these patients and in the patient with acute leukemia there was a redistribution of the high-density lipoprotein fraction (HDLa).
