The ionization constant of nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide

The p K a of carefully purified oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide has been determined by potentiometric titration with sodium hydroxide at 25°. Values are reported for six ionic strengths up to 0.250. Extrapolation to zero ionic strength yields 3.88 ± 0.02 for the thermodynamic p K a .
