A sesquiterpene polyester from Euonymus tanakae
A new sesquiterpene polyester named batakanine has been isolated from unripe fruits of Euonymus tanakae Maxim. The structure has been elucidated by spectral and chemical means as 2β,6α-diacetoxy-9α-benzoyloxy-1β- cinnamoyloxy-4α-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuran.
