Deep-sea ascidians from the eastern Pacific collected during the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program

Six species of solitary ascidian are recorded from 1335-6489 m off the coast of northern Peru. They confirm the wide distribution of species from abyssal basins. Variations occur in the previously described morphology, and in Dicopia hians suggest a relationship with the Corellidae.
