A weighted dual criterion of the equivalent linearization method for nonlinear systems subjected to random excitation
This paper introduces and discusses a weighted form of the dual mean-square error criterion by considering weighted contributions of forward and return replacements adjusted by a specific non-dimensional weight coefficient. The simplicity and accuracy of the proposed weighted dual equivalent lineari...

Summary: | This paper introduces and discusses a weighted form of the dual mean-square error criterion by considering weighted contributions of forward and return replacements adjusted by a specific non-dimensional weight coefficient. The simplicity and accuracy of the proposed weighted dual equivalent linearization technique are checked on several random vibration systems in comparison with other criteria. It is shown that the corresponding accuracy can be significantly improved for a large range of nonlinearity of investigated vibration systems. |
