Summary:This paper provides guidance for the rapid, simple, and eco-friendly synthesis of liquid crystal (LC) molecules using the hot-trend mechanochemical (MC) synthesis in the community of organic synthesis. We introduce our protocol, which may guide beginners of the MC technique to start easy and quick synthesis of LC molecules. The MC synthesis asks no need for a complex system and a large amount of solvent like the conventional solution-based synthesis. Additionally, this paper also provides some practical examples for fast screening of LC molecules including ferroelectric nematic LC (N F LC) molecules, which are subject to highly hot topics in the LC field, through multi-step MC synthesis.
