Summary:The present comments address the fundamental dynamic behavior of the ONERA aerodynamic model and consider the interacting dynamics of that flow model with a simple structural model, the typical section. A classical linear flutter analysis clarifies and deepens our understanding of the change in the character of flutter from the unstalled to the stalled flow regimes. The change in modal participation, including both structural and aerodynamic eigenmodes is highlighted.
