Summary: | It is important to elucidate the coupling effects that exist between the pores and minerals of sinter to establish the relationships that exist among the technological parameters, microstructures, and performance of the sinter. Based on the formation mechanism of the pores within sinter, four types of central band structures (CBSs) were defined to represent the microstructures of the sinter. During reduction, the cracking behavior of each CBS was studied through a series of experiments conducted at a temperature of 873 K. |
