Summary:Structural-genetic types of hummocks formed on the Arctic seas’ ice cover are considered. A method of the laboratory physical modeling was used for understanding kinematic schemes of the hummocks’ formation processes. A methodology of computation of the hummock consolidation intensity for different hummocks’ structural types was proposed. The performed computations showed good coherence of the laboratory experiments results and field studies of hummocks’ structure in the Barents and Kara seas.
