Summary:The lactate dehydrogenase isoenzyme pattern of human dental pulps from deciduous teeth and normal and impacted permanent teeth were studied by means of cellulose acetate paper electrophoresis. A dominance of the LDH-3 and LDH-4 isoenzymes was observed. This result is further evidence for the presence of a prominent anaerobic metabolism in this tissue.
