Summary:We examined specimens of the genus Vibilia Milne Edwards, 1830 in 397 plankton samples taken from the eastern Pacific Ocean, roughly between 60°N and 24°S and 160°W eastwards to the American continents. In total we found 13 species, namely V. armata, V. australis, V. borealis, V. caeca, V. chuni, V. cultripes, V. longicarpus, V. propinqua, V. pyripes, V. stebbingi, V. viatrix, V. wolterecki and V. elongata sp. nov. Four species, V. caeca, V. chuni, V. pyripes and V. stebbingi, are new records for the area. In addition to the description of the new species, we also give morphological information on several species when the original and other descriptions in the literature were inadequate. A key to all known species of Vibilia is included.
