L’addition réversible d’un radical aliphatique sur le dioxyde de soufre peut être exploitée pour l’élaboration de réactions radicalaires en chaîne n’impliquant pas de réactif à base d’étain. Cette courte mise au point présente quelques applications, notamment l’allylation, la vinylation, l’alkynylation et l’azidation de divers substrats.
