Tendon and ligament attachments in relationship to growth plates in a child's hand

Dissection of the hand of an eight-year-old female cadaver was performed to determine the relationship of tendon and ligament insertions to the growth plates. These soft tissue attachments can influence the fracture patterns noted in children.
