Summary:Systemic sarcoidosis frequently involves the heart and is usually diagnosed at autopsy, often as a single granuloma. An extensive review of the literature was prompted by a very interesting clinical problem of etiology in the frequent syncope and Stokes-Adams attacks in an otherwise apparently healthy young girl. The pathologic findings and therapeutic dilemmas are reviewed in detail.
