Summary:According to the transformer status assessment results, the corresponding maintenance strategy can reduce maintenance costs, improve reliability of the transformer and extend service deadline and service life of the transformer. Since transformers can be seen as a typical gray system, the method of gray clustering decision is proposed to assess transformer status. This article established the whitening weight function, analyzed the status information which is involved in transformer status assessment and gave the steps of gray clustering decision.
