Summary:Mycotic infections are an important cause of mortality in patients with leukaemia and lymphoma; Candida sp. and Aspergillus fumigatus are the micro-organisms most frequently found. Fusarium sp. are only occasionally involved in human pathology. Disseminated Fusarium infection complicating haematological neoplasia is an exceptional event and very few cases have been published. Here the authors describe a case of systemic F. oxysporum infection treated successfully with Amphotericin B.
