Design and Implementation of Remote Environment Surveillance System Based on GPRS

In this paper we propose a novel GPRS based remote environment surveillance system. This system incorporates a gateway node (with two processors of MG2455/F48 and TR800) and numerous sensor nodes (with the MG2455/F48 as the processor, as well as the SHT11 and TSL2561 as the data collection module),...

Summary:In this paper we propose a novel GPRS based remote environment surveillance system. This system incorporates a gateway node (with two processors of MG2455/F48 and TR800) and numerous sensor nodes (with the MG2455/F48 as the processor, as well as the SHT11 and TSL2561 as the data collection module), where the sensor nodes collect the environment data such as temperature, humidity and luminance, whereas the gateway node take responsible for the verification of users authority, the data exchange between legitimate user and system via SMSs. To verify the performance and availability of our proposed system, we conduct several experiments, the result depicts that the system is applicable to many kinds of occasions with high demand for environmental monitoring as its effective acquisition, little time delay, and great space for expansion of functions.
