Summary: | In this paper, biodegradable aliphatic copolyesters were synthesized from ε-caprolactone, adipic acid, and 1,6-hexanediol by melt-polycondensation method. The chemical structure, and thermal properties of these copolymers were studied in detail. The water absorption behavior and hydrolytic degradation behavior of this copolyester were also studied. This aliphatic copolyester prepolymer would be used to prepare the biodegradable poly(ester urethane), which might have potential application in biomedical field. |
