Summary: | The author’s vector method for the synthesis of guidance and transmission mechanisms is developed. An algorithm of necessary operations, including a derivation of the vector equations of lines and functions to be synthesized and also the vector equations of accepted mechanisms are developed. This method is illustrated by two examples of the synthesis of a planar four-bar linkage (anti-parallelogram) for reproduction of the Bernoulli’s lemniscate of a given dimension and a planar crank-and-rocker mechanism. |
