Summary: | A novel approach of in situ polymerization and in situ compatibilization was adopted to prepare compatibilized PPO/PA6 blends. An anionic ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactam was proceeded in the presence of PPO, whose chain bore
p-methoxyphenyl-propionate (MPAA), acting as macroactivator to initiate PA6 chain growth from the PPO chains and to form a graft copolymer of PPO and PA6 and pure PA6 simultaneously. Thus, the compatibilized blends of PPO/PA6 were obtained. |
