PALLADIUM-CATALYZED ALPHA-ARYLATION OF VINYL BUTYL ETHER WITH ARYL HALIDES

The reaction between vinyl butyl ether and either aryl or aroyl halides in the presence of the catalytic system Pd(OAc)2/DPPP is described. High selectivity toward the alpha-arylated product is obtained with te addition of TlOAc.
