Interfacial properties in Co-based multilayer films

A brief review is given of microstructural, magnetic and other properties of several Co-based multilayer systems. The choice of the multilayers is selective and the intention has been to focus on properties related to microstructure. It is shown that the condition of the interfaces, the growth morphology and, in some cases, how features of this morphology progress through the multilayer have a considerable effect on the properties of the multilayers.
