Synthesis of ternary copper(II) complexes of phenanthrolines and L-dopa and related ligands

The series of ternary complexes of type [CuAL] where A = 1, 10-phenanthroline or 5-nitro-1,10-phenanthroline and L = catechol, 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene, dopamine, phenylalanine, tyrosine or L-dopa have been synthesized and characterized by spectral and magnetic moment studies.
