Mono-condensed product of ferrocenylformyl acetone with ethylenediamine and its complexes of lanthanide chlorides
A mono-condensed product (Fcen) ▪ was obtained from the condensation of ferrocenylformyl acetone with ethylenediamine and five new Fcen complexes of lanthanide chlorides having the formula Fcen 3LnC1 3 (where Ln = La, Nd, Gd, Dy and Lu) were synthesized via the reaction of Fcen with lanthanides. Summary: | A mono-condensed product (Fcen)
▪
was obtained from the condensation of ferrocenylformyl acetone with ethylenediamine and five new Fcen complexes of lanthanide chlorides having the formula Fcen
3LnC1
3 (where Ln = La, Nd, Gd, Dy and Lu) were synthesized via the reaction of Fcen with lanthanides. These lanthanide complexes were characterized by microanalyses, IR, UV, Mössbauer spectra, molar conductivities and TG—DTA graphs. The
1H NMR and MS spectra of Fcen were also recorded. In these complexes each Fcen is tridentately coordinated to the lanthanide ions and three chlorine atoms are outer-sphere anions. |
