Summary:In this paper, a control law based on an observer for a class of nonlinear systems in a triangular form is presented. This control scheme is applied to a synchronous generator model; the performance of this controller is shown assuming that the only measurements available are those from the rotor angle. Simulation results, when the controller is modified to track a desired reference signal, are shown.
