Summary:The present investigation report is the novel synthesis of Co 3 O 4 (30 nm) nanohexagonals using thermal treatment. Co 3 O 4 nanohexagonals have been successfully synthesized through thermal treatment of the precursor Co(salen), which was obtained by the solid state reaction route. The obtained samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, TEM, and FT-IR. The hysteresis loops of the obtained samples revealed the ferromagnetic behaviors of enhanced coercivity (H c ) and decreased saturation magnetization (M s ) in contrast to their respective bulk materials. The results confirm that the resulting oxide was pure single-crystalline Co 3 O 4 nanohexagonals.
