Summary:The link is established between the radiation cross-section and the S-matrix of scattering of a particle in the external field on the basis of the canonical transformation method in the quantum theory of radiation of high energy charged particles in an external field. In the eikonal approximation the radiation is considered with the recoil effect under radiation and the ambiguity of the deflection function taken into account.
