Index profiles of multimode optical strip waveguides by field-enhanced ion exchange in glasses
Buried optical waveguides are fabricated by field-enhanced ion exchange processes in AgNO 3/NaNO 3 and NaNO 3 melts with the two-dimensional index distributions being accurately determined by reflectivity profiling with the aid of an optical multichannel detector system.
