Summary:An apparatus for tuning a laser system to different wavelengths has been developed. The controlling electronics consists of a microprocessor and stepper motor combination utilized to control the angular position of a laser cavity grating. A resolution of 0.09° per step has been obtained. Convenient, accurate, remote tuning of a laser is achieved with the output wavelength displayed and/or retained in system memory.
