Tetrakis(trimethylsilyl) Ethenylidenebisphosphonate: A Mild and Useful Reagent for the Synthesis of Substituted 2-Aminoethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonic Acids

Tetrakis(trimethylsilyl) ethenylidenebisphosphonate is proposed as a substrate in the preparations of N-substituted 2-aminoethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonic acids. The method provides an extremely mild protocol for the synthesis of these compounds and is compatible with a wide range of functional groups.
