Summary:Energetic dependence of bubble damage neutron detectors, manufactured by Bubble Technology Industries Inc. (Canada), was studied. The detectors were exposed in neutron fields derived from a 252Cf source as well as those from behind the shielding of the phasotron of the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research at Dubna, Russia. BD-100R detectors with two different nominal sensitivities were tested. It was discovered that their response probably does not depend on a neutron energy between 0.1 and about 20 MeV. It seems, however, that their sensitivity to higher energy neutrons is reduced.
