Summary:In field strength formulated QCD the effective quark interaction induced by gluon condensation is investigated in a low momentum approximation. The quark condensate as a function of the current quark mass is calculated and agrees well with recent determinations by QCD sum rules. We find that 〈: ss:〉 is only approximately 60% of the light condensates.
