Structure of Langmuir-Blodgett superlattices with alternate bilayers of barium behenate, phthalocyanine and octadecenylphenol

Monocomponent and bicomponent Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films consisting of barium behenate, surface-active phthalocyanines and octadecenylphenol bilayers are synthesized with 10 different programmes of bilayer alternation and studied by the X-ray small-angle scattering method. Unit cells of LB films c...

Summary:Monocomponent and bicomponent Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films consisting of barium behenate, surface-active phthalocyanines and octadecenylphenol bilayers are synthesized with 10 different programmes of bilayer alternation and studied by the X-ray small-angle scattering method. Unit cells of LB films contain from 1 to 7 bilayers. Electron density profiles within a unit cell are calculated. The additivity of the LB superlattice and monocomponent film periods is proved.
