Summary:The kinetics of an enzyme electrode composed of glucose oxidase (GOx) adsorbed on a Pt electrode modified with an alkanethiol self-assembled monolayer (SAM) electrode is analysed, taking into consideration the concentration polarization of dissolved oxygen, which serves as the mediator. The experimental data are compared with a theoretical calculation to estimate the kinetic parameters of adsorbed GOx.
