Summary:The relationship between the characteristics of Markarian galaxies (MGs) and those of galaxy groups is studied. The list that we have compiled by a physically justified method is used as galaxy groups. The following results have been obtained. (1) The frequency of occurrence of MGs in rich groups is lower than that in poor groups and single galaxies. In this parameter, single galaxies and members of poor groups differ insignificantly from one another. (2) There is no noticeable relationship between the characteristics of groups and the presence of MGs in them. (3) MGs in groups and single galaxies do not differ in their spectroscopic characteristics. (4) MGs do not conform to the fact corroborated for decades that the relative number of elliptical and lenticular galaxies in groups is higher than that among single galaxies.
