Summary:Theoretical and experimental results are used to demonstrate that an increase in the pump current leads to an increase in the range of continuous variation in the radiation wavelength and power of a laser diode with a fiber Bragg grating with a decrease in the fiber length. An expression for the gain that depends on the carrier density in the laser active area is derived. The watt-ampere and spectral characteristics that are calculated in the two cases are in reasonable agreement.
