Summary:We investigate the polarizability of the negative ions of hydrogen and positronium embedded in nonideal classical plasmas using correlated exponential wavefunctions. The interactions among the charged particles in plasmas have been taken care of by a pseudopotential, derived from a solution of Bogolyubov's hierarchy equations. The effects of nonideality of plasma on the ground state energies and the static and dynamic dipole polarizabilities of the negative ions have been studied in detail for wide range of nonideality. The results show interesting features.
