A BODIPY-based fluorescent probe (PGA) for d-glutamic acid utilizing biomimetic imine metathesis reaction with pyridoxal-5′-phosphate and chiral 1,2-diaminocyclohexane as the detecting group. PGA displayed good selectivity and sensitivity for d-Glu in water. Moreover, PGA can image d-Glu in living cells. |
