Sensitive determination of lead by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry on silver-based coordination complex modified electrodes

A silver-based coordination complex was synthesized from melamine (MA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and silver nitrate for the determination of Pb 2+ at the trace level by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). The complex was identified as [Ag 13 (MA) 10 (TPA) 5 ·10H 2 O] n and showed...

Summary:A silver-based coordination complex was synthesized from melamine (MA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and silver nitrate for the determination of Pb 2+ at the trace level by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). The complex was identified as [Ag 13 (MA) 10 (TPA) 5 ·10H 2 O] n and showed a good adsorption capability for Pb 2+ . Under the optimal conditions, the electrochemical sensor exhibited a linear response over the concentration range from 1.0 × 10 −9 to 5.0 × 10 −7 mol L −1 Pb( ii ) ( R 2 = 0.997) with a detection limit of 8.0 × 10 −10 mol L −1 Pb( ii ) (S/N = 3). The method was successfully applied to real samples. A silver-based coordination complex was synthesized from melamine (MA), terephthalic acid (TPA) and silver nitrate for the determination of Pb 2+ at the trace level by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV).
