Isolation of a hyperxylanolytic Cellulomonas flavigena mutant growing on continuous culture on sugar cane bagasse
Mutant M9-82 from Cellulomonas flavigena PN-120 was obtained by combined treatment of NTG and EMS. Xylanase activity of this mutant strain growing on batch culture, was 33.5 IU/ml, 2.7 times higher than its parent strain. When mutant M9-82 was grown on continuous culture at a dilution rate of 0.05 h...

Xylanase activity of this mutant strain growing on batch culture, was 33.5 IU/ml, 2.7 times higher than its parent strain. When mutant M9-82 was grown on continuous culture at a dilution rate of 0.05 h^sup -1^, xylanolytic activity increased to 45 IU/ml.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
