Summary:The influence of various factors on the comparative efficiency of various compressible gas cooling systems in a piston compressor (liquid injection, liquid jacket cooling system, air cooling system, etc.) has been studied. The dependencies of the coefficients that take account of the change in various heat transfer factors in the piston compressor (heat transfer surface area, heat transfer coefficient, temperature difference and duration of heat transfer in the gas compression process) as well as the total coefficient that takes account of the amount of heat removed in the gas compression process on the key operating parameters of the compressor (crankshaft speed and discharge pressure) have been investigated. Conclusions have been drawn about the significance of these coefficients from the point of efficiency of the studied cooling systems.
