Recovered artifacts suggest feasting and gambling. La pequeña cancha de pelota 2 del sitio de Nixtun-Ch'ich' fue construida encima de una plataforma baja asignable al Preclásico medio. La limpieza de superficie y las excavaciones revelaron que la cancha fue construida y utilizada en el Clásico tardío y terminal y durante el Posclásico, antes y después de su aparente terminación.
