Summary:Fluorine is an essential element in the human body, which participates in the process of cell metabolism and dual effects on bone tissue and tooth enamel. Insufficient and excessive fluoride intake can lead to various diseases. Due to the special chemical properties of fluorine, there are great challenges in detection of fluoride ions. The main route of human intake of fluoride is through drinking water and food, so it is necessary to develop a convenient and efficient method for detecting fluoride ions, which is of great significance for evaluating fluoride pollution in the environment. In this paper, a reactive fluorescent probe SCC for detection of fluoride ions was designed and synthesized based on carbazole ring, which performed the characteristics of high selectivity, rapidity, and high sensitivity in the detection of fluoride ions. The detection limit was 25.9 nM, and it could be used to detect fluoride ions in aqueous systems.
