Summary: | An important technique for preserving remote access to broadband wireless communication is radio over fiber (ROF). It combines fiber optic and cellular networks. The impact of varying the switching voltage of the Mach–Zehnder modulator on the millimeter wave ROF system has been discussed in this research. Subcarrier multiplexing amplitude shift keying, also known as SCM-ASK, is one of the crucial data modulations that was investigated. Eye diagrams were successfully used to analyze the ROF optical system’s performance at various switching voltages. Greater “eye opening” denotes a higher-quality received signal with less noise or interference. Moreover, we were able to transfer data over the same single mode fiber using the OADM approach. Following every 40 km of the transmission network, EDFA is utilized to augment the signals. The simulation results demonstrate the improvement in the ROF system performance that an ideal switching voltage exists, which is approximately 10 v. This system has been simulated using the OptiSsystem program 15. |
